I have eaten in Diners in many states especially in Long Island so I have a fairly good sampling of quality and service available. The Brookside Diner was a welcome and refreshing expierance of excellant choice of food, quality, taste and very attentive wait staff. If you are in the Whippany NJ area and seek a place to eat that will be make sure you leave satisfied and smiling....

Have ate or taken out at the Brookside for about 10 years. When John is there the place runs like clockwork. Other times the workers are sometimes lax. The food has aways been good and plentyful. Comfortable setting on Rt 10.

Food was tasty but service was a bit disappointing. German chocolate cake was delicious,I haven't had a piece of German chocolate this good in quite a while. Not as good as some of the reviewers here put it as but certainly worth another visit.

The best around the neigborhood. Most of the time I go there, the food is great and the staff is nice. Especially John. He one time mixed up an order I made from the phone and gave it to me or free. However there are definately better diners around, if you wanna travel for 30 minutes or so.
