The best thai restaurant in North Jersey. The food is authentic, fresh and appropriately priced. I highly recommend Pimaan.

Thai quality typically found in large cities, Pimaan can boast a New York City palate with New Jersey prices and comfort. Service is friendly, even though the wait staff is rushed, you don't get a feeling that you are. Don't tell anyone about this restaurant, otherwise I'll have an even tougher time getting a table. Drawback: downstairs room keeps it from getting 5 stars.

Good green curry fish, and fantastic fried calamari. We also enjoyed the chocolate souffle. BYO, remember.

  • Excellent Thai food :)
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/04/06
We been searching for a nice Thai resturant ever since Royal Siam( Pearl River, NY) changed managements. Excellent food..but like the previous reviewer mentioned the portions are small and the quality of the food makes up for this..Good service and a nice cozy setting. They have the best souffle with icecream ..cant wait to go back and have this again..Dont forget to make a reservation.. so ENJOY!!!!!

The food is fabulous!! The atmosphere could be better, but the food is worth going back for. Also is BYOB which keeps the bill down.

  • Best Thai in area, but needs improvement (read on)
    By WebTsarina, 10/26/05
FOOD: Food is good; menu is short and no children menu or children friendly food. Will particularly recommend soups with coconut milk (they have couple), Thai & vegetarian duck salads hot pasta is not there strongest. Fish in curry sauce is to die for, frog is over fried and barely eatable. Lamb portions are very small and I would not generally ...

  • Great food, small portions though
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/05
The food here is really great. My issue is the portions (at least for the drunken noodles and basil dishes)! It's consistently almost HALF the amount of what you get elsewhere for the same price. I go back because its close and the food IS good, but be prepared to order more if you're hungry.
