I have been going to Spirito's since I was a kid living up in North Jersey. I now live in Toms River and I still take a trip up there. The food is out of this world. I pretty much get the rav's everytime I go, but everything else is great.

A great Jersey landmark! Best old school Italian ever. It's like eating at my grandma's house! You must go at least once in your life to experience the old world family charm and fantastic food!

WOW! This place was unbelievable. I have heard about it for 20 years and finally took a trip there from Allentown PA. It was well worth the trip. It was the best Italian food I've ever had. Since it was a long trip I had a little of everything.I started out with pizza and 1/2 garlic salad with some chilled red wine. Both were excellent, with ...

Listen, Spirito's is what it is. They have great pizza, ravs and garlic salad. It's old school Italian, always has been and makes no apologies for it.....nor should they. If the lack of butter for your bread keeps you away - GOOD!! More parking for the rest of us. The wines they serve are SUPPOSED to be served chilled. And I'll ...
spirito's has been around now for 75 years and has not changed one iota. the benches are green, the lights dim, the walls filled with memobilia of days past, there is no butter with the delicious italian bread, the dishes are the same, the soda comes in a glass not big enough for 4 swallows, the waitresses have been there a long time and ...
I have to tell you all.. that this USE to be a great place to go.....NOT ANYMORE.....The service was horrendous....The waitress had a larger table and then us...That larger table was still waiting for a few people...in the mean time she brings us our drinks, now were waiting and waiting for her to come back to take our order...Needless to say, she ...
Spirito's is in a league of its own. Famous perhaps for its pizzas, but any dish served there can stand on its own two feet. Spirito's has an extensive menu of all the old time favorites from southern Italy (so it's all red sauce). Hearty, stick-to-your-ribs food. We usually get a chicken parm and a large pizza. Spirito's also ...
This is an incredible place.....there was only one drawback.....the chianti was served cold.....brrrrrrr! Ask them for Chianti from the back, and it will be room temp.........otherwise, its great....but they dont have desserts, unfortunately. But not to worry, cause if you walk down a few blocks, there is an authentic Italian (and Im talkin Italy Italian) Pasteria, with cakes and coffee just like in Naples.......or Capri.......thanks...
