We brought a special person and her guest to the Shell Station for her birthday. The waitress was extremely contentious - the service was HORRENDOUS. The food was good (not great). $172.00 later we were left with what was supposed to be a special evening.

Best sushi in the area! My husband and I lived in Manhattan and ate at a LOT of sushi restaurants and were so excited to find the Shell Station when we moved to CT. Great quality sushi and the chef is so nice! A little updating on the decor and this place would be top notch.

This quaint little place had average sushi. The staff and owner were friendly, but the service was below average.
I would give it a pass in the future.

My wife and I went there last Friday and both of us were disappointed in the service. The food was good.
Our waitress never asked if we wanted to see the Sushi menu,
She also seemed to be more interested in talking to another couple( who seemed to be regulars there) then being attentive to our needs.

We won't go back!

Excellent, fresh sushi, quaint "New England" environment. Very much enjoyed our dinner. Wait staff/Sushi chef very friendly and answered all questions. Will definitely go back!

I am a sushi aficiado! Shell Station has the best sushi by far in CT! All of their specialty rolls are wonderful! My personal fav is the spicy spicy! Yum! I'm craving some as I write this review! If you love great suhi, the shell station is definitely the best place to go!

How is it possible that the only thing this place is lacking are high prices? The fish quality is supreme, the taste is unmatchable, the wait staff are nice and helpful. I would expect to pay more for this quality and experience, but somehow it's almost a dollar less per sushi roll than other places. 5 stars aren't enough to express my experience.
