These are absolutely the best dogs in the U.S.! I moved back to CT. in 2005 and all I could think about was getting my hands on one of these amazing hot dogs, so I moved to New Britain!

I have been going to Capitol Lunch since I can remember. Best dogs in CT. Period. The combination of Rosol's dogs, grilling them, and that sauce....Oh, that heavenly sauce, make for an experience you will find nowhere else on this planet. All hot dog fans everywhere should have this place on their bucket list if they have not been there yet. Can I get 3 "up", please?

Not Nearly as good as they were in the 70-80-90's I think they changed owners or family type takeover.
They are still the best in the area,

I have been going for Cappy Dogs since the early sixties when the dogs were only $0.15 each. The combo of Martin Rosol hotdogs and meat sauce are the best hot dogs in the state. If you have never had a Cappy Dog with the works all I can say, " What are you waiting for!!!"

  • A treat for all generations
    By Brian, 05/23/07
When I was a youngster growing up in New Britain, Capitol Lunch was always a treat. We used to spend a lot of our heard earned cash from mowing lawns and delivering newspapers on Cappy Dogs and Moxie soda. Now, years later, my own children, ages 17 to 23, all enjoy a Cappy Dog or two whenever we get to New Britain. The funniest thing about Cappy ...

  • 50 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/04/07
I was brought here when I was 4 years old - I hated those dogs. Now, I can't live without them and make the trip at least once per month. I usually eat 4 and take some home too. My uncle only eats the cheeseburgers with the sauce, he loves the value for the price. Have to admit, over the years the dogs have gotten smaller but they are delicious!!

The best thing about going to see my dad in the nursing home is that I go get cappy dogs after every visit.
