Made it out over to 5 Spice for my Birthday, as I Love quality Thai food..and was sadly disappointed. This seems to be the ever to familiar scenario where a restuarant that may have once been been worthy of high praise, is now living strictly off of past reputation. first and formost, the place is cramped...not cozy, but elbow to elbow cramped. ...
Such a great variety of different foods, great knowledgable service and of course the special "spirits" made by the owner...try the lime rum or Maple Syrup scotch!
If you really know your Asian food, or just want to look like you do (i.e., if you're on a date with a typically culturally-curious Burlington undergrad-type), this place is better than the too-many new trendy and pricey Thai-and-martini places popping up around town. The food is good, the prices are good, and the service and seating are better ...
