don't go for the buffet. It is dry and sits too long under the heat lamps. The scallops my husband ordered were not "scallops", he's a fisherman and couldn't figure out what it was...

The so called great Portland restaurants are not nearly as good.

Chinese Jade Restraunt is a great place for the whole family. I eat here alot and have not had a bad meal yet. I enjoy the variety they offer and it is always fresh - make sure to go while it is busy so the food gets refreshed at the buffett. The new building and floor layout makes for a great atmosphere for family dining.

Chinese Jade Restaurant is an above average restaurant and perhaps the best Chinese restaurant on the Mid Coast Maine area. This restaurant offers a decent buffet at a decent price. Most of the entrees are reasonably priced. Most of the time the food is fresh. Rarely do you get reheated food. I do not like dry Chinese food. A great place to take the family. A friendly atmosphere and the service is decent.
