My husband and I ate there several times during our weeks vacation. The clam showder and fried oysters, oh my goodness, I would so love a plate of that now!! We are from Georgia and our dream is to go back to Maine someday. We will definately be at Shaw's. Watching the lobster boats from the deck and taking the tour was great!! Those fried oysters!!!! Yummy

A view even Donald Trump could`nt afford!!! Please sit on the deck and enjoy the views of the harbor,the smells of the ocean,and the majestic fishing boats. I sat one table over from actor Ed Harris and his company!!(He just finished filming"Empire Falls" which was shot in Maine)

it is by far the best place to get a great lobster roll , look out for the seagulls they have a good nack at picking of your onion rings !!!

My family goes to Damriscotta at least twice a year and we make a point to go to Shaws every time. Best lobster, and seafood, around. Was used for some scenes in 'Message in a Bottle' with Paul Newman and Kevin Cosner.
A must if in the area.

We vacation in Maine at least once a year, and on each trip we visit Shaw's as many times as we can. Can get very crowded in the summer, but the food is well worth the wait. Eat out on the deck if you can, the view is fantastic - but watch the seagulls, they'll try to steal your food if you're not careful! The lobster rolls are stuffed with lobster, and they're delicious.
