Gillette Castle is certainly one of my most favorite places I have ever been to. It is uniquely designed and decorated. The view from the castle is just perfect. You have to see it to believe it. last time I was there I was so fascinated by it I took tons of pictures. Hopefully I can go back and see it decorated for Christmas!!

FYI Take the ferry across the river, its the quickest way to get there from Haddam.
