I went there with my brother's family including my 2-year old niece. They accepted our reservation and we indicated that we would bring a 2-year old child, and provided our phone number. When we arrived, the maitre d' asked us whether my [then sleeping] niece would be quiet. Needless to say, we left immediately. There are plenty of other choices in Los Gatos and we enjoyed our dinner at a great restaurant next door!!

Had the 4 course menu, which had great options. Fantastic fresh food and delicious. The chocolate mousse was amazing.

Everything was excellent. I thought it was a little noisy for a Michelin 2 stars...

Meal as art & experience

One of the most memorable meal experience: fantastic presentation, unique new flavors, exotic dishes, great service. Their tasting menu is a 3 hour experience. You feel pampered. We even got a tour of the kitchen and saw the artists at work.

Exquisite Dining

Fine dining with set menu. French cuisine with a splash of Spanish fusion.
Fine dining at its best in Los Gatos. Manresa turns out some wonderful food. Interesting combinations and textures as one reviewer put it. The service is top-notch and friendly, and the food was amazing. My favorite part of the meal was the steamed chocolate pudding. If you're a chocolate lover, and it's on the menu--order it! The only downside is that I found the restaurant to be a bit noisy.
We surrendered to the tasting menu and accompanying wine pairings and let the chef decide what we'd eat and drink. Things I'd never order on my own tantalized my taste buds. It wasn't cheap, but it was tasty and memorable. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the viognier, which tasted like dirt.

Sorry Thomas Keller, but David Kinch is the new NorCal genius, fusing flavors you'd never think possible. Not only are the flavor combinations amazing, but Kinch is a texture wizard. Some dishes have strong, bold flavors while others have subtle ones (like the parsnip foam or the use of milk skin). In some dishes foie gras is used not as a main ...

Our 2nd visit. It is even better than 2 years ago! Got 4 courses but actually it's 8 if you count the first 3 (yes, 3 not 1) amuse, and the fabulous petite fours after the dessert and there is the chocolate. First of all, it is just GREAT cooking: everything we had was cooked to perfection. Not overdone, not undedone, just perfect, then there ...
