Charming

This place is unique. Totally unlike the bland accommodations provided by the large chains. Decor is antique, room was comfortable, I shared a bathroom which was no problem, breakfast more than adequate, staff were great, location is superb. Good value.

good European style hotel

Entering the hotel feels like you've left the US and are in a old charming European hotel. There is an old elevator with the cage style opening and a large parlor where one can listen to music from 1905-1945 as well as just be. It was large enough that during breakfast about six groups were seated around it, and one didn't really notice. ...

The room had a portable air conditioning unit that could not keep up with the heat (It was cooler outside than in the room, the temperature was hovering around 90). The day desk staff was rude when informed of this. Instead of taking care of the issue they advised of similiar complaints were from other rooms that had had problems draining the air ...
