This property has been completely renovated recently. A big change from when it was the CT Grand. The restaurant was great, especially the Sunday brunch. Also, they're building an indoor water park. My recent trip was for business, but when the water park opens, I'm going to bring my family.

there wasn't alot of food. there were no towels or soap. the hallways were loud. the pool was dirty. bathroom had mildew on the shower curtain. had no lamps working.need new clean sheets. the a/c was broken. the room was dirty. peeling wallpaper. marks on the walls and furniture. ice machines didn't work. no toilet paper. the blankets were dirty too on the beds. the front desk was rude. i wouldn't stay here again.

This motel was show perfect in every way. The outside was kept well, parking lot was kept well, and the front lobby was beautiful. Everything you need to see before you "check into" a place. BUT......there were so many disapointing things about this hotel, it would take an hour to write them all. The breakfast buffet was nothing ...

$130 a night + tax to stay at a tired Courtyard Marriott in downtown Waterbury, CT? I stayed at the CT Grand in Dec. 2005 with low expectations. While I wouldn't plan to stay on vacation, it was perfectly adequate for a one or two night business stay. The only other property that rivals the $59 a night is the Motal 6. Need I say more?!
