Chilmark is a bit out of the way, which is why we chose to stay at the Picket house. Previous reviews where excellent, so we booked for several days. On each of my visits to Martha's Vineyard over the past 12 years I have also made a point to stay at the wonderful Pickett House B&B in Chilmark at least a couple of nights. It is tucked just off the main road leading to the most beautiful clay cliffs on the East Coast. The history of the handsome B&B and the warmness of the owner, Elizabeth, always gives me the feeling of being a guest in a dear friends home not just a customer.

You have to look for this wonderful B&B, part of the charm being one of a kind. They gave us privacy, information about the island and made us feel very welcomed. We relaxed in “Moshup”, a wonderful large room with a king sleigh bed. It was clean, cozy, decorated with high end furnishings, lovely flowers and quiet. The breakfast was fresh banana ...
