First rate presentation of facts, artifacts, and heroic acts from the most murderous and widespread conflict in human history. Do not miss it.
Note: Museum expansion under construction to open late 2009-early 2010.

here're what you see: big screen TVs & photos. If you want to learns about the war, it's a good place, but if you're looking to see some real stuffs, forget it. You'll find videos, photos, and all the text telling you about the war, and I'm pretty sure you can find all these from the internet.. this place puts it together for you and so it costs!

  • Very Interesting!
    By lagirl, 01/27/08
I wasn't very excited about going to this museum. I only went because my boyfriend wanted to. But it was actually very interesting. Definitely give yourself at least a 1/2 day for the tour because there is a lot of stuff to see! I learned alot and wouldn't mind going back since we had to hurry towards the end because it was about to close.

A wonderful way to spend the morning. The history is wonderful, the memorabilia is awesome! The staff is quite knowledgeable and friendly. All in all, a nice relaxing addition to our New Orleans weekend.

The movies run about 5-7 minutes each and lead you through the buildup to the war to the invasion and the aftermath. They also had a Curious George section for the ...

  • Great!!

I wasn't expecting a lot out of this museum, and was apprehensive about taking the kids to a "War Museum". I was absolutely blown away by what it had to offer, and the kids had the time of their lives. More than can be seen in a half day. Tons of personal audio accounts and videos. Endless exhibits on every aspect of the war, from ...
