I was concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but was pleased after visiting the course. Apparently there has been work on improving landscaping, etc., because it looked great to me. Also know that it's located near an old quarry, so it does have some distinct features. And that AWESOME two-story driving range. My kids love to go.
The course is much shorter than most (it is a par 67), however it is very challenging for any level of golfer. Not only is the course a great challenge, but the par 3 course they have is a great test for anyone. Range balls are the best around. Practice facility is great because it is open past dark. What a great place to unwind and have a good time. Staff is really helpful and welcoming. Makes it tough not to go back.

Big improvements since last visit in 2006
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/09
I played here in June 2006 in the middle of a bad dry spell. The course reflected the tough weather conditions and water restrictions.
However I played on Monday and was very impressed with the great condition of the course. Some of the greens had been enlarged and there were more bunkers. Overall the greens were very good. The course was well ...
The best customer service in town by far! A little shorter than a regulation course, but very fun. Greens are good, fairways are usually pretty good. They take walk-ins only, so no need to book a tee time. Awesome driving range and pratice facility, cooooollldddd beer and great hot dogs! Very relaxed atmosphere and top notch staff!!!!

Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ on a cracker!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/08
I was tricked into playing this course by some reviews that said it was "decent". Little did I know that their standard of a "decent" course was one that was landscaped via nuclear bombs. When I had arrived I saw that the grass was brown. I gave the place the benefit of the doubt because of the price, but I didn't realize ...

Brutal course
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/08
This was definitely one of the worst courses I've every played. It felt like we were playing in a city park were they just threw out some flags and dug a couple holes. Greens were either left uncut, major sun damage, muddy, or on one hole, a patch of fairway that was simply cut shorter. There was no diference in fairway or rough either. No real ...

Friendly and Fun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/13/08
This isn't a really long course, but it is challenging on some of the holes. I like it because I can play 9 or 18 holes. Everyone is so friendly. The driving range is first class with the best balls in San Antonio.

I have a new hang out...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/07
A friend of mine told me about this place. I can't believe I never knew about it before. It is great. I was so impressed with the friendly staff. I really like the lighted driving range, too. I played all 18 holes and found the course to be in great shape. I have a new hang out!
