  • Beautiful
    By Sandra, 09/19/09
The Gardens were beautiful and we spent the whole day walking and admiring. Then we ate at the Gardens Restaurant, which was located inside the Gardens. Fresh and affordable food, huge portions and great service. We will be back to eat and enjoy the Gardesn

  • Relaxing and serene
    By Maryanne, 08/28/08
We took my mother, in a wheelchair, through the Japanese Gardens, and loved the serenity & beauty it had to offer. She has lost interest in most of life, but came alive when she saw the Koi, and loved feeding them, as I'm sure most children would. It was beautiful, only $3, and great for destressing. Their gift shop was nice, and we came ...

  • A lovely half day excursion
    By A Yahoo! User, 01/24/07
I think the highlight of the FTW Botanical Garden is the Japanese Garden, which is the only part of the garden, I believe, where there's a charge. I think it was about $3 for an adult last time I went. They have a "river" that flows through the entire Japanese garden stocked with Koi and they sell food to feed to them so take lots of ...

  • IF YOU LIKE KOI, COME BY!
    By Nicole, 07/27/06
THE BOTANICALS ARE WONDERFUL. IN THE SPRING YOU CAN ALWAYS BE ASSURED TO FIND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BLOSSOMS, AND OBVIOUSLY OTHERS AGREE, AS THERE IS ALMOST ALWAYS A WEDDING THERE. EVERY GARDEN HAS ITS OWN UNIQUE CHARM, BUT I AM PARTIAL TO THE JAPANESE GARDENS, WHERE THE KOI ARE! I LOVE THE FRENZY THEY WORK UP JUST FROM SEEING PEOPLE WALK BY, ...

  • Best of Fort Worth.
    By Edward, 04/29/06
I went to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens one day and could have spent another! If you want to see and appreciate all of them, you'll have to spend at least a day and a half walking around. I went to the Japanese Garden and found it to be beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. I fed the giant Koi (I've seen smaller large-mouth bass), and ...

  • Japanese Garden- woohoo!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/06
The Japanese Garden is particularly lovely & extremely reasonable- well worth the $3 fee. Make sure to bring a handful of quarters to feed the amazing koi (giant "goldfish".) Very peaceful. The rest of the gardens are free & very pretty- especially down by the pond.
