  • never again
After having a bad experience a few months ago I decided to try the place again. First I was served a beer that had expired three months ago, then I ordered the 10 or 12 Oz ribeye, whichever is smaller, I was served an large cut of meat that was not a ribeye, but a poorly preped and overcooked, new york strip. Then I was charged for the 18 Oz ribeye! I'll be sure not to ever eat here again.

  • NOT RECOMMENDED
    By A Yahoo! User, 05/16/07
We stayed the night at this historic landmark. The hostess for the B&B was very friendly, went out of her way to help us in any way. However, we did not sleep very well either night due to the "live" music and the loud drunks. It would be great if you were wanting to stay up until 4am with all the drunks, but we did not. The only thing ...

  • Wouldn't recommend for dinner
    By Kelly, 01/09/07
It's fine for a night of drinking but every time I've eaten there, I've been sorely disappointed. Hair in my food (not kidding), rude or distant wait staff (not even an apology for the above), lukewarm or cold food, just plain poor quality overall.

I Had Dinner at The Historic Broadway Hotel and Tavern Last Night (07/21/06). Bartender Jerri, Recommended the Prime Rib, $19.95, with Two Sides, after The Supply of T-Bones I Previously Ordered Had Already Been Exhausted. She Started Me with a Fine Salad with The House (Homemade Bleu Cheese) Dressing. Crisp, Cold, Lettuce, a Cucumber Slice, A ...

  • great bar/ casual b&b
    By GI Joe, 02/12/06
the service was extraordinary, the cost was comparable to any chain hotel, only it is strongly reminesent of spending the night at the slippery noodle in indy. what a great time, the waitress offered history to the tavern, the kitchen staff was more than helpful, the bar staff was friendly and provided a feeling of a hometown tavern. all of this as ...

  • The dining room ceiling is falling
    By Liz, 12/04/05
The dining room is in a very bad state of repair. The waitress could not show us to our table and told us to "find one and she would find us". We were the only people waiting to be seated. The food was fine, but the whole place looked like it was in need of a "fix-up" and a cleaning. WILL NOT GO BACK.
