People in Woonsocket have no idea what a treasure they have here... hands down, the best fish chips in the RI area. Eat in is a bit tight and not too enjoyable... ok if you're on the run. They really dropped the ball when they discontinued the Wright's dairy coffee milk. bad move. Nut do try the fishcakes... awesome.

The food is AMAZING! I wish I could eat there every night! I recommend this for EVERYONE!

One of the few places in Woonsocket that I had missed in the decade or so that I had been living in the South. Always a staple in my family's household during Lent, as they still practice the Fish on Fridays.

Relatively quick, easy to get to, and of course, still comes in the newspaper wrapping that they used to use for so many years.

I have yet to find any fish and chips better anywhere. I make an exception and get out of work early on some Fridays just so I can make sure I can get there before they close. I've taken several people there and they rave about the food as well. Just finished another great meal!

Greasy! That's the best way to describe Ye Olengish, 95% of the food is deep fried. If you must eat there,the only thing I would suggest is the Seafood chowder with extra cracker!

food is good when there are hot most time there fries were cold. this was not the way years ago they were always hot and good.moretimes than not it is cold

I live in Atlanta and always, ALWAYS must eat at Ye Olde English on my yearly visit to Woonsocket. The prices are rising steadily for a plate, but aren't they everywhere? I have never had fish and chips anywhere that compare.

most of the time the food is good,the fish+cips are not always great , chips have been off , cook a little to long and were hard and the fish is small for the money it cost, and ask what kind of fish your getting. your better off going to a sea food place and enjoy ing what you buy.
