This place is a hidden jewel!! The building has limited parking space and is somewhat uninviting from the outside (humble), but once you taste the food or drinks, you'll be coming back for more!! The portions are filling. If you get a meal, don't get an extra side unless you can eat a horse!! Theirs are the only Margaritas that I've ...

Parking was limited and from the outside it looked like a dump, but inside it was clean and bustling on this Thursday night. The service was good, the prices were more than reasonable, the portions were generous, the food was delectable, and to top it all off, the staff spoke excellent English! We only come to this area once a year but I know we'll be be repeat customers.

Unlike many of the places in and around Boston that suggest they serve authentic Mexican, El Azteca delivers. No fancy mango shrimp phonies --the pulled meat dishes, refrieds, fresh tortillas and many combo plates are just right. Great salsa (including a special extra picante version), and the chips are made for you as you come in the door.

This is by far the Mexican rest. in East Providence. It is affordable, the service superior, and the food is always good. Try the lunch menu for the best value for your money. Overall, it beats Taco Bell hands down for the price. Cheers!

I love this place!

The service is always friendly and efficient, the food is tasty and ready almost before you order it (it's that fast), and they are consistent.
A no nonsense ambiance that delivers the most authentic Mexican fare south of Boston, this is "the" place to call home. "el favorito" specialty plate is a great choice. Another great choice is any combo with a "poblano con queso", although all dinners offer a vast variety with generous portions, arriving hot from the ...
