This food here is incredible. Whenever I go to Boston, I pick up dinners for the family and I can barely keep my hands off the food during the return 100 mile trip back to Western Massachusetts.

A little bit of BBQ heaven! Who knew you could get top notch, down-home BBQ in Boston? Actually, it is in the suburb of Newton - but no-one has mentioned that they also opened on in nearby Arlington also and it's just as good! Tangy sauces, melt-in-your mouth meat, great sides(pour on the mashed potates!), and oh, dear Lord, don't forget ...

I've gone there maybe 20 times. it's pretty good. I don't quite get the people who just gush about the place. I don't think it's THAT good. I don't like their style of ribs. to me they just dont have any flavor. The pulled pork is good. the burnt ends are my favorite, with the sausage a close #2. the sausage ...

Blue Ribbon is a great Q place but Redbones in Somerville is #1 in my book. I have eaten many times at both places when I lived in the Boston area. Redbones does everything just a little better than Blue Ribbon. Funny, I'm living in Charlotte NC and Blue Ribbon and Redbones beats anything I've found down here.

Absolutely the best BBQ in the Northeast and could very well be in the Top 5 in the country. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. The Burnt Ends are mouth-watering and the mashed potatoes are to-die-for. Highly recommended to any BBQ fan.
When I lived in Boston, I knew the Blue Ribbon was the best Q joint in town. Now, having moved away and established myself as a professional travel writer, I know it's one of the best Q joints in the country! Love those burnt ends!
Having lived in West Newton, Blue Ribbon BBQ was a regular dinner treat. We are now in Western Mass and have never found any BBQ to compare. The flavor of the sauce is unique -- not too sweet and just perfect. The portions are extremely generous and the sides are excellent also. Try the cornbread and the salads. Blue Ribbon -- We love You!
The title says it all. This is by far the best BBQ place in town. Inexpensive, with good service, and a comfy feel to it. Better than all the better-known places your friends will tell you about. I've tried them, also, and they can't hold a candle to Blue Ribbon. Try the kale soup, if you get the chance. Probably my favorite restaurant in Boston, regardless of cost.
Pure perfection. It's the roadside BBQ place we all imagine, but never really get to go to. Sure, it's location sucks and it's small - but aren't the best places always like that?
First the food. Blue Ribbon offers all of those wonderful Southern BBQ dishes you crave - Ribs, Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket and something called ...
