We ate at this restaurant last October and it was spectacular! The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were large. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. I would definately go back next time I am in Boston (this November to see the Pats beat the Steelers!)Go pats, we love ya here in Ocala Florida!

A MUST while in Boston!

My first ever seafood experience and it definately made me want to be more adventurous! Also tried Atlantic Fish (a somewhat rival) on Boylston and there was no comparison!! This location on the Long Wharf is in a great spot, very close to the water, government center and public market.

Don't get ripped off by the name or it's reputatio
My husband went to MA thinking we would love the food, what a disappointment. Legal Sea Foods is a place where the food is less than good, the waiters are rude, lack customer service and the price doesn't meet the taste. No comparison to what we can get in beautiful San Franicsco. By the way, their clam chowder tasted like it was out of a can thickened with corn starch!!!!!
My wife and I enjoyed a special dinner there in Aug. of 2005. We came from Georgia to stay 2 nights in Boston and see the Red Sox play the White Sox.The Red Sox won and the dinner was a total surprise of enjoyment , from the staff to the food to even the view from the table. It was such a delicious meal and I love recalling that evening and everything we had for dinner.Wish we lived there we would be eating at Legal Seafood as much as we liked.
Seafood is, expectedly, expensive; however, you also expect great food. There was nothing special about the food I ordered - nothing to make it stand out from other places. I did enjoy the appetizers fully, which I would give 4 stars to; however, the overal quality I expected for for the value was not up to par.
The service was standard. ...

So good it should be Illegal Seafood!

The service is always above par, quality of the food just ROCKS! I love raw, cook, steamed on pasta, on rice, cajun - I've had it all. I've been to Legal Seafood since I was 9 - and it made seafood so palatable to this 9 yr old who couldn't stand stinky fish - Lega Seafood stopped that right away. I'll never forget my first swordfish - YUM!
For all seafood lovers I put this on the top of my list to eat at. People here are very friendly and make sure the food is 110%. from shrimp scampi to sushi, this is a great place to sit down and enjoy a great meal. Price is right were it should be for a seafood resturant with all the odds and ends..
