great place to enjoy an eclectic menu - have been coming here isnce late 80's (under different managment then). normally come here on Saturday afternoons, when not so crowded. bread and spread bar keeps you busy until food arrives. great beers with seasonal changeups

If you love good beer, and I do, this is the place to go. The food is good, Portabello Pub Fries are a great appetizer, and the Prime rib is also a favorite of mine, but that is not why I go to the Tap. I go because the brewmiester creates the most delicious beers to enjoy with good friends. This place is about good times with good people. Get to know the staff, try some new brews, have some food and enjoy life more.

The Tap could be such a great restaurant. It is a good restaurant, but with a little attention to detail it could be great! A hostess outside on the deck to seat you would be great. Walking in the back door doesn't really show the Tap in the best light. Not putting the umbrellas down while the deck is still open and the band is still playing ...

Wonderful service - their waitstaff has a great sense of humor. Food is terrific; steak tips have a wonderful crusty rub with very intense flavor, burgers are great, the nachos could easily feed two, their specialty salads are good too. Their beer, brewed on site, is also good. Try a haverale or their unfiltered wheat - excellent! Can't make up ...

Bad Bad Bad service food won,t go back saff inattentive at best, food luke warm at best

This place is the reason that TGI Fridays is packed on the weekend! There are no good places to eat in Haverhill!!! Such a shame that this place has an out door eating area! On a Saturday night the place was empty at 7pm. The outdoor menu is not the same as the in door menu. They allow smoking at tables on the deck. And you'll be lucky to get one of their many waitstaff to wait on you, even if the place is empty.

If beer's what you're after, this is the place to go in Haverhill. The selection of microbrews changes, with a few permanent beers available. You can even take home a "growler" of beer for $11. Bring the jug back, and get a refill for just $8.50. The food is standard pub food; not bad, not great. If you sit on the deck, though, be prepared for a *very* limitted menu and for selections to be sold out.
