Great service and food choices. No tipping policy is excellent. Too much "Fog" in the area (smoke)

If you are business traveler.. This is the place. Professional and courteous staff.. Neat rooms .. Outstanding service....variety of food options...30min from the airport even during peak hrs... Only thing it does not have is many recreation options.. Worth the money you pay . . . If you dont like something, bring it to there attention,they would fix it for sure

Terrific design--excellent jogging track--super service--great food choices--easily available transport at competitive rates--enlightened management--close to airport, yet quite close to downtown areas--what else do you want????

First you see the the culture of the Bengal once you enter the said Hotel. The ladiesworking in the said Hotel are drapped in beautiful saress and that too touching the Bengali way. The Food i may say is one of the best in Kolkata. The cleaniness is perfect and the welcome is too good. Infact the best part is felt when you come from outside India ...

Worst hotel in Kolkata. Terrible customer service, poor quality food and rude staff. Far from the city. They hate foreigners at this hotel. Travel House in hotel overcharges. Stay at the Oberoi Grand Hotel instead. On my stay heard of a another couple from Canada having a problem with the Travel house and Management and rude comments were said to them.

This place is excellent to hang around . i like this hoel becos .. this hotel provides value for money .. and there main priority is customer satisfaction ..... which makes me feel as if i am at my own home

Hotel stay was OK however could have been better without the smooth talking Ranvir Bhandari. Oberoi a much better choice - comfortable rooms,better location and service than Sonar Bangla.

Over priced, horrible food and smelly rooms with an arrogant general manager who is always busy chasing women. Never again Taj Bengal a better alternative.

The people of Kolkata are known to be warm and friendly and that is reflective in the sevice of the staff at Sonar Bangla, especially that of the GM, Mr. Ranvir Bhandari who is one of the nicest people, down to earth and very knowledgeable in his field.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who lives home away from home. I personally would love to be there soon again.
