Best restaurant in the area. Diverse menu that even has dishes for vegetarians and vegans, in addition to something for the entire family, including meat-eaters like me. The popovers and desserts are fantastic. The wait staff was A+++. Just a great place to eat when in the Amherst area. During our last five-day visit, we ate there 4 times. Kids, ...

Judies is worth the trip for the desserts. They are homemade and decadent. Try the lobster ravioli.

Still the best place in Amherst. Always has interesting and delicious choices on the menu and the quality and presentation are superb. I have never had a bad meal here and gladly pay the price for an outstanding dining experience. This place would do well on Newbury St., Boston.

Judie's I think is overrated too, had to wait long to be served, the food is not that great either and can you believe it I got queried about the tip I left and was made to change it on the streets, was very embarrasing. I would not recommend it as anything special.

I've been a regular at Judie's for several years now. I have to say that the food has been very disappointing the last few times I went. I don't know if the expansion has cause her to lose control of the kitchen but, I don't think I'll be back any time soon.
Judie's is OVER RATED!! Horrible service, unjustifiable wait for a table, poor food selection, poor service, and the pop overs aren't that spectacular. On my last visit, Judie herself was my server. She had a horrible attitude. She decided to order for me. She picked a meat dish for me, I am a vegetarian! I had no say in the matter. She ...

Outstanding Place for a Casual Lunch or Dinner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/07
In addition to out-of-this-world desserts, popovers, and croissants Judie's has the best bisque in New England. All of the items are interesting. They have great combination meals like Caesar salad and soup that can be ordered at dinner time. That means while your date is enjoying a terrific pasta dish with incredible steak you can be having ...

Not worth the wait and the poor service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/18/07
If you are in a hurry or want to have good restaurant service, don't go to Judie's. the food is okay but it's overpriced for what it is and to deal with the cramped seating area and avoidant serving staff - well, it's just not worth it for a "popover".
Judie's, in my opinion, is overhyped and overpriced. There is barely any room to sit because the space is so small and the tables and chairs are so close together. The food is just fair---nothing special and there is always a wait. It is very expensive and not worth it.

Good Food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/05
Judie's is almost an institution in Amherst. The food is always wonderful, the ambiance (although a bit squished) is good and the service is usually adequate. It can have VERY long waits (but is almost always worth it!). Try the popovers and the seafood bisque - both are excellent!
