From Florence, WI, The center is about half a mile west of Florence at the junction of Hwys. 70 / 101 and US 2.
Location Information
The Florence Natural Resources and Wild Rivers Interpretive Center offers exhibits interpreting the area's unique natural and historic features while providing tourist information. The Forest Service, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Florence County have offices in the center and are available for information, fishing licenses and permits. The inside of the building exhibits many of the fine woods grown in Wisconsin forests. The gift shop features a wide variety of nature items. Topographical and lake maps are available for the hunter and angler. The center is open all year Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from June through November. Programs and events are scheduled throughout the year. The site is handicapped accessible. Amenities include parking for 20 vehicles, picnic area, and restrooms.
