Beautiful rock formations, with one that looks like a great stone hard hat, river islands, and shoreline wildlife can be observed. White diamond-shaped reassurance markers designate the Michigan Rapids Hiking Trail.

The trail is rated moderate with uneven and rocky terrain and some wet areas in spring. Watch for poison ivy at the far end of the trail.
