From Bryson City, NC, Travel 2 miles north on Deep Creek Road. Begin on Nolan Divide Trail and travel north to Pole Road Creek Trail.
Location Information
This relatively short connector trail is rather strenuous as it climbs 1,800 feet within 3.5 miles. At one time this was a busy lumbering area but now the forest has regrown with yellow buckeye, mountain maple, sugar maple and young Fraser fir. At points, the trail tends to be rocky with blackberry brambles poking into the trail.
