The Highbanks Trail System is a scenic backcountry linear trail system with views of the Au Sable River Valley. From the high bluffs of the south shore of the Au Sable River, many species of plants, animals and songbirds may be viewed in their natural setting. The trail system offers excellent opportunities to experience and enjoy nature. The system is linear offering terminals at Iargo Springs and Sid Town Village. The trail may also be accessed from Canoer's Memorial and Lumberman's Monument. Trails are marked with blue diamonds. There are no user fees associated with the trail system, however, donations to the Corsair Trail Council will help support trail maintenance. Camping is not permitted along the trail system. Cross-country skiers should note that the backcountry trails are not groomed.
