Location Information
Caney Creek Group Picnic Site is located within the Caney Creek Recreation area and on the shores of Sam Rayburn Reservoir. A large picnic shelter is located on the grounds and accommodates up to 50 people. Groups need to reserve the shelter in advance. An outdoor amphitheater seats up to 200 persons. Visitors can hike a self-guided half-mile trail and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. In consideration of other visitors, no off-road vehicles may be ridden in the campground.
