From Zavalla, TX, Travel east along Highway 63 for 5 miles; turn left on FM 2743 for 4-1/2 miles; then left (northeast) on Forest Service Road 336 for 1 mile.
Location Information
Caney Creek campground is located within the Caney Creek Recreation area and on the shores of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, Whether in a recreation vehicle or tent camping, visitors have 123 sites to choose from, and each site has a level pad, picnic table, and campfire ring which can be used as a cooking grill. Many campsites are located near water. There are five camping loops - Dogwood, Maple, Hickory, Pine, and Elm.

Cold showers, drinking water, and toilet facilities are available within a short distance of each camping site. A waste/dump station is available for
recreation vehicles. There are no sites with electrical hookups.

Campground regulations, fee payment instructions and emergency phone numbers are posted at the pay station at the Caney Creek Recreation Area entrance.
