From Broaddus, TX, Follow Highway 147 north for 1 mile; left (west) on FM 1277 for 4.5 miles; left (west) on FM 2923 for 1.5 miles to entrance.
Location Information
This campground is located on the shores of the Sam Rayburn Reservoir and within the Townsend Park Recreation Area. Whether in an RV or tent camping, visitors have 14 sites to choose from on Cedar Loop, and each site has a picnic table and campfire ring which can be used as a cooking grill. There are two additional camping loops which do not have water.

Drinking water and toilet facilities are available within a short distance of each camping site on Cedar loop; there is no drinking water or toilet facilities provided on other loops. A waste/dump station is available for RVs at nearby Jackson Hill Park, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility, for a fee of $4.00. There are no sites with electrical hookups.

A picnic shelter is located on the grounds which accommodates up to 50 people. In consideration of other visitors, no off-road vehicles may be ridden in the campground.
