Location Information
Swan Lake is a 52-acre lake that offers four lakeside campsites. Site #1 is located on a small hill overlooking the west shore with access off FR 2013. The site is 60' X 30' and is suitable for one family. Trailers are not recommended. Site #2 is on the southwest side of the lake measuring 65' X 50'. It is level and suitable for two families and small trailers. Site #3 is a nice level area, 65' X 35', accommodating two families and trailers. Site #4 is the smallest site, 40' X 35', suitable for one family and no trailer because the ground is uneven. There is a primitive toilet located on the southwest side of the lake that serves sites #2, #3, and #4. All sites have excellent swimming opportunities, but the Forest Service does not check the water for obstructions.

There is a very good unimproved boat access with ample turn-around and parking space at site #1. Boat access at other sites is suitable for car-top boats only. The lake is managed for rainbow trout with a secondary population of largemouth bass. Some bullheads may be caught as well.

Camping permits are required and available through the Ranger District office, 906-341-5666.

No drinking water available at this site. Gasoline, groceries, fishing supplies, boat rentals, and ice are available approximately four miles west on H13.
