From Wetmore, MI, Travel 10 - 12 miles south along H13. Head east on FR 2173 for 2.3 miles. Hike-in is 650'.
Location Information
Ewing Point is located on the 132-acre McKeever Lake near Munising. The campsite is 2.3 miles east of Highway 13 on FR-2173 (Pete's Lake Campground Road) and is 12.5 miles south of Wetmore. The trail leading from the parking area to the campsite is 650 feet.

There is one walk-in campsite on Ewing Point. The site, located right on the point, is a grassy area 50 feet by 75 feet, surrounded by cedar and hemlock. A fire grill, lantern post, and picnic tables are provided. Drinking water must be carried in. Water is available at Pete's Lake. Sanitary facilities are not available.

Several recreations are enjoy from the Point. The lake bottom is sandy and provides good wading. Bruno's Run Hiking Trail weavers throughout the Ewing Point area. The 10-mile trail is accessible at various locations, two of which are near the Ewing Point parking area. One trail section leads down to Grassy Lake; the other travels along the southeastern portion of McKeever Lake. McKeever Lake is a good fishing lake for musky, northern pike, bass, and pan fish. Hunting opportunities exist for ruffed grouse, waterfowl, white-tailed deer, and black bear. There is boat access on the lake and the campsite itself is easily reached by boat or canoe.

Groceries, ice, gasoline, fishing and camping supplies are available approximately 1 mile south on FH-13.

Nearby attractions include Munising Falls, Alger Falls, Wagner Falls, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Kitch-iti-ki-pi, and Big Island Lake Wilderness.
