Location Information
Located on the shores of the 114,000-acre Sam Rayburn Reservoir, Bayou Boat Ramp was completed in 1963. The boat ramp provides access to the lake throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the lake at this quiet hideaway. Sam Rayburn Reservoir is administrated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, (409)384-5716.

The boat ramp has 26 parking spaces for vehicles. No drinking water or toilet facilities are available at this site. This is a "Pack it In - Pack It Out" area; please take your refuse home for proper disposal.

Camping is not allowed in the parking area, but there are numerous dispersed camping spots in the general forest area. A waste/dump station is available for RVs at nearby Rayburn Park, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility, for a fee of $4.00.

In consideration of other visitors, no off-road vehicles may be ridden at the boat ramp.
