From Jackson, Proceed due east from the Jackson town square on East Broadway to the National Elk Refuge. Follow the improved dirt road approximately 5.0 miles to the junction of the Flat Creek and Curtis Canyon roads. Turn right and proceed another 2 miles, finally ascending the long switchback leading up to the campground. Portions of this road are very rocky but still passable to passenger vehicles. Not recommended for large camping vehicles.

LOCATION: Approximately eight miles from Jackson on a wooded slope, 700 feet above the National Elk Refuge and Jackson Hole valley. ATTRACTIONS: Curtis Canyon overlook, located just north of the campground, offers great views of the Jackson Hole valley and surrounding mountain ranges. Hiking is available at the Goodwin Lake trail and numerous old jeep roads and trails throughout the Curtis Canyon/Sheep Creek area. FACILITIES: Tables, fire rings, 2 double unit toilets, water.
