From Detroit, Follow Highway 22 east from Detroit Ranger Station for 18.8 miles; turn onto Road 2234 (Bugaboo Road) and follow for 6.5 miles.
Location Information
The Bruno Meadows Trail (#3424) is a 1.75 mile easy to moderate hike. Occasional views along trail. One vista area, near halfway point, is on a rocky outcropping with an unusual collection of wildflowers. Many hikers turn right at the junction with Bugaboo Trail #3423 and continue toward Bachelor Mountain Trail #3420; this route offers additional views of the Cascade Crest and higher elevation wildflowers. Old-growth Douglas-fir/ Noble fir; associations of wet area plants and 'rock garden' wildflowers.
