Directions
From Sweet Home, Travel east on Hwy. #20 for 4 miles to Quartzville Road and turn left. Travel approximately 40 miles to east end of Forest Road 1152 and turn right. The trailhead is 1.4 miles on right.
Location Information
The Gordan Peak Trail is a moderately difficult 4.6 mile trail at an elevation of 3,000 feet, This trail starts on a ridgeline with periodic views of Mount Jefferson and Three Fingered Jack, before gradually descending through mature and old-growth forests. The trail eventually joins Chimney Peak Trail near the Middle Santiam Wilderness boundary.

From the trailhead, you can also head northeast approximately 3.1 miles to the top of Scar Mountain for wonderful views along Scar Ridge. This route provides a link to the Old Cascade Crest Trail System.
