From McKenzie Bridge, Travel east on Hwy. #126 for about 4 miles to the junction with hwy. #242. Turn right on Hwy. #242, and travel about 20 miles to the summit of McKenzie Pass and Dee Wright Observatory.
Location Information
Lava River National Recreational Trail #3540 is an easy 0.5 mile hike at an elevation of 5,300 feet. This short, paved interpretive trail offers remarkable views of lava that flowed from Yapoah Crater. Interpretive signs share geologic information of the lava formations along the trail.
