From Blue River, Travel east 3 miles on Hwy. #126, turn left onto Rd. 15 for 5 miles. Then turn onto Rd. 1509 and proceed for 0.5 miles. Turn left on Rd. 1510 and travel for 5.5 miles to the trailhead on the right. Roadside parking is available.
Location Information
Buck Mountain Trail #3304 is a difficult 1.1 mile hike at an elevation of 4,000 feet. A good day hike this trail leads to the top of Buck Mountain which overlooks Blue River and Tidbits Creek drainages. This trail was part of an old gold mine trail and have been incorporated into a loop trail which leads back to Rd. 1510 about 1 mile from the first trailhead. The mountain top was the previous site of a fire lookout.
