From Roseburg, Travel east on Highway 138 to Little River Road #17. Follow 17 20 miles until it becomes Forest Service Road 27. Follow 27 for 12 miles to the Hemlock Lake Campground. Follow the Yellow Jacket Loop Trail #1522, which begins at the picnic area parking lot, to the Flat Rock Trail.
Location Information
The summit of the Flat Rock Trail provides a view of the surrounding forest and was the site of an old fire lookout tree. Wildflowers are plentiful and there is a good view of Hemlock Lake. The trail is steep and not recommended for motorcycles and bicycles.
