Location Information
The Lakes Trail provides access to both Cliff and Buckeye Lakes. The trail passes through a mixed stand of timber which includes a madrone forest, and young stands of fir, where a wildfire swept through 50 to 100 years ago.

Several interesting volcanic rock formations are found along the trail around Buckeye and Cliff Lakes. The towering Cliffs of Grasshopper Mountain, formed when the northwest face of the mountain collapsed about 6,000 years ago, can be seen from both of the lakes.
