From Roseburg, Travel east on Highway 138 29 miles past the North Umpqua Ranger Station to Illahee Flat Road (Forest Service Road 4760). Take 4760 for six miles to Forest Service Road 4760-100. Proceed one mile on 4760-100 to the trailhead.
Location Information
The Wild Rose Trail runs through high mountain meadows and a Shasta fir old-growth forest. A short cross county jaunt will lead hikers to Wild Rose Point and an excellent view of the Steamboat drainage and Illahee Rock Lookout. This path is not marked, but the adventurous visitor will be rewarded.
