Directions
From Tiller, Travel northeast on County Road 46 to Jackson Creek Road #29. Follow 29 east to Road #2947. Follow Road #2947 to Road #2947-400. Take the right hand fork of #2947-400 to the Cripple Camp Trailhead, approximately 28 miles from Tiller. The trailhead is developed for hiker and horse use with parking available for two to three vehicles, two with trailers, and ample turnaround for trailers if all parking is not occupied. Facilities include: Picnic table fireplace, wilderness toilet, information board and trail sign. No water.
Location Information
Cripple Camp Trail is short and provides access to Acker Divide Trail #1437. It passes through stands of extremely large, old growth Douglas fir. The trail intersects the Acker Divide Trail near Cripple Camp Sheltel, built in the 1930's.
