Location Information
This trail is open to hiking and horseback riding. This trail is not very developed. It's marked with blaze signs but is steep in some places. Inexperienced riders should be careful. From Little Bald Mountains, the view is great to the north and south. The north looks into the low range lands toward Butter Creek, and the south into Texas and Madison Areas. This is a beautiful trail, going by some areas very unique to the Heppner Ranger District. There is an area called Earth Shake, the true history is not know but locals claim an earthquake shaped this rock formation. The rocks push up into a monolithic formation. This area is cool and damp, very pleasant place to picnic.
