Directions
From Heppner, Take the Scenic Byway just south of Heppner, County Road 603, for 23 miles turn onto Forest Road 21 go 3 miles to Ditch Creek Guard Station. Turn onto County Road 608 at the guard station, Forest Road 2100050, to the road closed sign 1 1/2 miles.
Location Information
This trail is open to hiking, horseback riding and mountain bikes. This trail follows an old closed road and is easy to follow.
Martin Prairie is a very pretty meadow. This is a good take off point to get to the Copple Butte Trail #3052. This trail offers good mountain biking for both beginning and advanced riders. It takes you into a road closed area so wildlife viewing is excellent.
