From Ukiah, Travel east for Ukiah on Highway 244 for 13 miles. Turn south onto Road #54; continue for 8 miles then turn east onto Road #5448. Five Miles down the road is the trail marker.
Location Information
The trail is open to all modes of travel, except motorized vehicles over 50" wide (outside Wilderness). Inside Wilderness boundaries, NO motorized vehicles are allowed. Cable Creek Trail runs mainly along ridge tops. They are long gradual rises and falls. The final sections of the trail drop rapidly, using several switchbacks and side-hills. The tread surface is generally in good shape, with a few sections the are rocky and rough. Views of valleys and ridge tops are plentiful along the Cable Creek Trail. It passes through several burned areas from years before. Trail open to class I & III OHVs. Wilderness restrictions apply. The wilderness section is closed to all motorized and mechanized equipment, including mountain bikes and carts. RESTRICTIONS: No motorized vehicles over 50" wide.
