From Powers, Go south on County Road #219 to Forest Service Road #33 to Road #3353, just past milepost 11, to trailhead.
Location Information
Barklow Mountain Trail, located on Barklow Mountain, offers a one mile hike. This trailhead is located approximately 11 miles up Forest Service Road 3353 and follows the ridge to the location of the old fire lookout on the highest point of Barklow Mountain. This spot offers and excellent view of the Siskiyou Mountains. Part of the trail continues along the north ridge of Barklow Mountain. to the site of an old Forest Service shelter which has not been used for many years. The vegetation is typical of second growth recoveries on the Powers Ranger District.
