Directions
From Gold Beach, Travel south on Hwy. 101 to the second Hunter Creek exit. Follow Hunter Creek road (county road 635 turns into Forest Service Road 3680) for several miles to Forest Service Road 400. Take 400 for approximately two miles to Forest Service road 420 and follow 420 to the trailhead.
Location Information
Hurt Cabin Trail offers good views of the Collier Creek drainage area. Use caution when traveling, this is a steep and rugged trail. Portions of the Silver Fire Burn of 1987 can be seen. The trail ends at Hurt Cabin, an old mining site.
