Location Information
Upper Chetco Trail is the main east/west route through the Kalmiopsis Wilderness and a true test of physical ability. The trial offers access to the Chetco River and its two main tributaries. The water is adequate and campsites are fairly plentiful. Heavy vegetation along the trail provides shade but eliminates most views. Connections may be made to the Tincup Trail #1117; Johnson Butte Trail #1110; and the Bailey Mountain Trail #1109.

Facilities at the trailhead include a bulletin board, registration, parking, picnic tables, a toilet and trash collection.
