Directions
From Selma, Travel northwest on Forest Service Road 4103 or Forest Service Road 4701 (Eight DollarRoad) to Forest Service Road 142. Take 142 to the trailhead.
Location Information
Fall Creek Trail #1221 begins at the Illinois River and winds along Fall Creek to the top of the ridge near Onion Camp, which offers primitive camping. The trail is steep as it leaves the creek to climb up to the road near Onion Camp. The trail passes through several old growth forests and old mining areas as it climbs to the top of the mountain. The trail is partly maintained by the Boy Scouts of America.
